The Word "Honor"

“HONOR” is one which brings me to a still and retraces my memories back to the reign 1999 when Indian Army staged examples of courage, strength and HONOR. We Indians saw the first ever televised war, sitting at home it was heart breaking to see our men falling for our better tomorrow, I personally felt heroism and nationalism no closer than when I heard great men sacrificing their lives for our country. Yes the above picture is the man who bought freedom and a ray of hope to every Indian sitting in homes to villages. Every look of his conveyed “if anything touches my fellow Indian it will have to pass through me”. These were the men who were saving our country, and such are the men who continue in doing so that’s why I say my country is protected.
I take this opportunity through my blog in thanking Capt Vikram Batra and his parents in bring up a boy who turned in becoming a role model not only for me but for generations ahead.
His challenge quote “Yeh Dil Mange more”, has carved into generations of modern thinking people and youngsters like me that 25 years is enough to prove your country your worthiness.
He changed the perception of military observers and staged a grand example of “HONOR”. I am sure many of you would want to join my hands in thanking Capt Vikram Batra, who’s sacrifice went in bring freedom and sense of nationalism within Indians.
World says India has produced Gandhi, I say India has produced “Capt Vikram Batra”.

  1. The safety, honour and welfare of your country, come first, always and every time. The honour, welfare and comfort of the men you command comes next. Your own ease, comfort and safety comes last, always and every time.
